Therapy for Real Life. Experience Matters.
Chris Nuñez, LCSW
Chris offers a wealth of experience having served as a Director at the Student Wellbeing Office at Rice University as well as Director of Social Work within a K-9 Charter School Network. Despite various roles in leadership and supervising other therapists and counselors, Chris has always prioritized meeting with clients directly. His passion is helping people navigate their challenges by fine tuning the tools they already have and leveraging their own special kind of resiliency.
A professional in the field of mental health for over 20 years, Chris specializes in working with young adults, teens and parents/guardians. Chris also has experience working with athletes and athlete caregivers as well as men and specific mens’ issues. His sessions focus on the goals you bring to the table while using a variety of evidence based treatments such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Strengths Based Therapy to bring clarity on next steps forward.
A native New Yorker now based in Houston, Chris is licensed in the state of Texas and able to meet with clients virtually no matter where in Texas they reside. Chris enjoys traveling, cooking, watching sports and getting lost in a good book.
